The Testifier
Mark 16: 1 – 16
These are those who have encountered Christ. In whatever way He has impacted your life, He wants the benefits to reach others so that they may be saved also.
Who is a Testifier?
In our context, a Testifier is:
1) Someone who testifies. The person that says what God has done and gives God the credit.
To testify is: to bear or give evidence, to stand as a witness
2) Someone with a testimony. Someone who God has done something for that attests to the goodness and greatness of God.
Testimony is: open declaration or profession of something (faith), a statement or declaration by a witness.
If to testify is to bear witness to God’s works, then not to testify is to deny them. Matthew 10: 32 – 33.
God loves you, yes. He does so much for us, yes. Why? Apart from the fact He loves us, He wants us to go out and show others His love that they too may be saved!
John 9:3 to manifest the work of God! I.e. to display, disclose, reveal, to show, exhibit, to be seen! How can this be if we do not testify?
Benefits of a Testifier
The Testifier enables the kingdom of God - 1 John 1: 2-3
The testifier is preaching the gospel – Luke 8: 38 -39, Mark 5: 18 - 20
The Testifier is an over-comer – Rev 12:11 they overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and word of their testimony
The Testifier makes his testimony sure - Luke 17: 12 – 19
Conclusion
For our sakes and God’s, we need to let the world know our God.
